Monitoring and Evaluation

IMPACT was selected to be part of the pilot of the CORE system (Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation) for by the Psychological Therapies Research Centre at Leeds University to demonstrate Best Value in Staff Counselling Services.

We have continued to use this system to monitor our service. For IMPACT counselling 82% of staff who have finished counselling have reliable improvement (where a client has changed sufficiently to be confident that the change is measurable). This is an objective monitoring of the service and provides bench marking with other services.

We provide management information to each organisation as required and regular meetings with designated managers are used to discuss general issues and provide feedback. The content of counselling sessions is always confidential.

The system meets the criteria of Best Value and will provide clear information on which to evaluate the benefits to staff and the organisation of a staff counselling service.
